Kessem Bamaga Spa is committed to providing equal and accessible service to all customers, including people with disabilities, in accordance with the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Law, 1998, and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013.

Accessibility level of the website

We are working to make this website accessible in line with Israeli Standard IS 5568, Level AA (based on the WCAG guidelines). The website was rebuilt on a modern, accessibility-minded theme, and we keep testing and improving it on an ongoing basis.

What has been made accessible

• Full keyboard navigation, including menus and submenus, with a clearly visible focus indicator.
• A “Skip to content” link at the top of every page.
• Proper page structure: ordered headings and defined navigation, main-content and footer regions.
• Text alternatives for images.
• Form fields with clear labels.
• Language and text direction set correctly (Hebrew right-to-left, English left-to-right).
• Responsive layout for phones, tablets and computers, with support for browser text zoom.
• An on-site “Accessibility options” menu: larger or smaller text, high contrast, highlighted links, readable font, stop animations, and reset.
• Automated testing of the website pages with axe-core against WCAG 2.1 Level AA, with the findings fixed.

Known limitations

• A full manual screen-reader review of every page has not been completed yet. It is in progress.
• Third-party content and services linked from the website (for example Google Maps, Waze, WhatsApp and our Google reviews profile) are not under our control and may not be fully accessible.
• Some older images or content may still have issues we have not found. If you come across one, please let us know.

Accessibility of the premises (the spa at HaPalmach 15, Or Yehuda)

We want to describe the premises honestly so you can plan your visit in advance:

• The premises are not wheelchair-accessible.
• From the street there are 3 steps to the yard, then a narrow, somewhat uneven path of about 20 metres, and 2 wide steps at the spa entrance.
• There are no handrails or grab bars at any of the entrances or steps.
• Parking: paid municipal street parking (blue-and-white). A car with a disabled parking permit may park in the spa’s own parking spot, right at the entrance.
• The restroom is not accessible: the door is about 60 cm wide.
• There are no grab bars in the restroom or the showers.

Guests who need assistance or an adjustment for their visit are welcome to call us in advance at 052-2894674 and we will arrange the visit together.
